Bowling has become a great pastime as those of all skill
levels are able to enjoy a few frames without much concern or frustration. But
for those that have made the pastime their sport of choice, becoming an
advanced bowler includes a ton of variables from gear, to technique, to the
lane condition itself. One thing is for sure, if you want to be an elite bowler
you absolutely must have consistency! And what does consistency require? A
perfect release.
By now we’re sure you’ve noticed that an advanced bowler’s goal is to repeat the same throw again and again so that they can get the same result – a strike. Getting that same result boils down to the point when the ball leaves your hand, a.k.a the release. The release is when your swinging motion imparts that rotation on the ball that will allow it to hook into the sweet spot (the strike zone!).
Keeping your arm and wrist completely straight during your motion and release is the key to putting your ball in the same trajectory each time. If you have a hitch in your arm or wrist during your release, you’ll be in danger of “overturning” the ball. Meaning that since you’re not providing the ball with that straight support, the ball will then have freedom to release with the wrong rotation, and that wrong rotation will cause you to either miss the strike zone, or even put you in the gutter!
So how do you make sure your release has that proper support?
The Striker Elite wrist support system locks your hand and wrist in the perfect power position and eliminates overturning. This gives you that release consistency that will then translate into improved scores and improved average. With the support your wrist is kept completely straight through your entire swing, giving you the peace of mind to focus on your targeting. The Striker Elite wrist support takes the guess work out and gives you simple power and consistency in your release. Which means you have also get power and consistency in the pocket!
"The things I notice
different were that I had no pain in my wrist and that I was able to target
very precisely. It was also amazing the way I was hitting my target and not
just an area. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Striker Elite. Priceless. I want
to say I believe that you and the Striker will keep me in the sport I so
love."
